Got my car some new toys tonight. Got some black crystal headlights. Got a new SC case to port. And got a set of black powder coated lower fascia grills.

I put in a shift kit at midnight (lolz) but I will say it is much easier than I gave it credit for. And of course with my luck, something always has to go wrong and set me back. What happened might you ask? Well.. the tiny little 8mm or 5/16 bolts on the accumulator, yeah one of them refused to come out, the head rounded off, yes even with a wrench. Aint that some ****? Just my luck huh.

Needless to say I got it out. I think my mini size socket set just sucks, but who knows. The shifts are awesome though I am much happier with it. Not a huge difference but it takes the slop out.

Yeah you can say that.. seems it spun #1 rod bearing. I'm kinda guessing now I should have done the rod and main bearings when i had it apart. Oh well my fault.. good news is I'll have the engine out twice as fast this time ..

I don't even wanna talk about how good the trans felt just in case the jinx fairy is listening, but it did shift sweet.

Cleaned all my junk out of it, emptied the trunk, swept the entire car and treated leather and plastic dash pieces. I also changed the air freshners. Then I finally got around to installing the new cowl deflector for the passenger side. So no more wet floor board.

Then I found a crack in the spoiler, caused by one of the bolts :'(

    I know
I backed the bolt out a bit, but you can still see it. Idk what to do about it. I'm afraid the clear is going to start peeling or cracking more around it. It's a hairline crack and only maybe 1 inch long.

changed a coolant elbow, replaced a O ring on the lower one, and cleaned and then rtv'ed my oil pan, well 80% of it, the belt side seemed dry, and you cant get to it so easy so thats it.

lets hope today is a 2 leak repair day.

The Tacoma was getting jealous with me spending all my time working on the GP, so I gave her a shining today too. Made her happier.

Any way you could teach my wife how to clean all the junk out of hers?

truth being said, not many woman or girls even think to clean the car out, never mind wash it, or the windows, vacuum it, why???

then the famous line.. i have this noise its a banging sound when the engine is on....i did see the oil light flash every now and then for the last 2 weeks tho.
