Well I didn't do it today, but I think yesterday is close enough.
Anyways, I got me a set of these. Directional tread = RACE.
Surveys looked good on them, read some good reviews, not a bad price, and dad talked to a guy at his work who has them on a Volkswagon and hes happy so I'm hoping they will work for me.

My friend got some tires like those for his Audi and went through them completely in less than two months. Although quattro + drifting around every corner and being an idiot probably didn't help

removed the pin strip off my car, with a razor blade! compounded the crap out of it and waxed the line. came out nice, looks better with out it for sure.

damn thing had 3 stripes too, the 2 thin lines, and fat one on top of them,(2 different types too) nothing like making my life easier..

Jacked it up to find out why I lost virtually all braking power coming home (that's a pants sh!tting experience when you go from full brakes to virtually no brakes with 2 lanes of non-stop traffic ahead of you lol). Long and short I got a busticated brake line.....fml. So for now I just cut the line (before the hole) and crimped it over so at least I have 3-wheel brakes, that and I topped off the brake fluid and left a whole new container of it in the car.
I guess I'm going brake line shopping tomorrow.....

man you really screwed the pooch on that one, should have gotten a compression fitting, cut the tube where the hole was, and installed compression fitting, done till you can get a new line. if you want to.

i used them as a permanent repair on my old 80 dodge pick up, they do hold.
i blew a line, (it was rotted out) cut out bad tubing, used compression fittings on both ends of the new tube to old tube.

Mind you this was at about 9:30PM on my way home from our school's volleyball game (i.e. all auto parts stores are closed ). Being as I have to drive it tomorrow I was feeling pretty limited on my options. It will just have to work until I can get new line, there is no alternative at this point lol.

i got lucky, i rear ended a van with the truck ( had a snow plow on it too), right in front of a auto parts store, bought a length of pipe, fittings, a cutter, and pipe bender. and the guy in the van just left lol

Dang lol, you did make out lucky. I was sh!tting myself thinking of how I can stop a car in 3 poles distance from a 50 roll.....parking brake crossed my mind but knowing my luck it wouldn't release plus 1 wheel braking on wet roads probably wouldn't be the best idea. Downshift occured to me, but I realized it won't completely stop you, just slow you down (unless I'd just throw it into park....I think that would stop me at the expense of a tranny lol). Thank God I still had a bit of pedal left.....wasn't much but just enough to slow me down.

few things happened while driving my car today.

on the phone with jacob (dread) and turning a corner, car in front of me is doing 5mph, develop road range and start cursing and a man in a dump truck over hears me and says "get off the damn phone!" so that was pretty funny.

and then. i was on my way home and pissed because the trans slipped a few times. so i thought well lets see what a 30 roll will do. and it handled like a champ and i turned some heads on a few bicycles i passed as the eaton screamed through that 35 residential zone

Beat it up a bit on the way to Rich's. Beat his car a little and offered him mine plus $500 as a trade. Thought it was a good deal.

Made him brake test mine..he still held back ...lol wussy.
