Idler pulley on the supercharger drive locked up, shredding the belt and exploding plastic pulley pieces all over the engine. So on this -13 degree day, I was throwing a new belt and pulley on my newly-acquired GTP.

I moved it into the garage so the 1" of snow we're getting wouldn't upset it.

Went to a friends house, then to his friends. He felt like washing his car in the self wash (bad idea in 7°F) anyway there was ice in the wash bay on the ground and his car is lowered so he couldnt make it lol (so he went to the next bay). Anyway seconds after spraying the car it glazed over with ice so that wasn't gonna work. Why does the place even stay open? Also saw an accident in some rush hour traffic, someone wasn't paying attention and rear ended a stopped car at like 10-15 mph right next to us.

I need to wash my car badddd....its been a month or longer I bet. The car washes around here have been closed the last few days. Who in their right mind would want to even attempt to wash a car in this weather? If you do, I believe you earn the right for your doors to freeze shut on you for that dumb decision.

Haha that's a friend of mine. He tried to do a self wash too, wind blowing straight through the wash bay, EVERYTHING was frozen, the brush was a solid piece of ice, the wand had ice all over it and all the walls had a coating of ice. It looked like I was in an Alaskan cave or something. Anyway he washed it and the water pretty much instantly froze and the whole car was glazed lol. Had to scrape the windows afterward(he should have at least left it running on defrost) But he really should have done a lot of things, or should not have I should say. I was like yeah I'm not washing mine. He should have just gone through the automated wash right next door. Oh well, it takes an experience for him to learn I guess lol. Don't wash your car when it's 5°F and wind blowing straight at your car.
Coldest I washed mine was 38°F, and had no issues with doors icing shut the next morning, but I wipe literally everything down including the insides of the doors. But I always do that.

Some people need to learn the hard way I guess. A friend of mine on facebook walked outside yesterday with WET hair. (-5*F). Well her hair froze instantly. She posted a picture of it....like why did this happen? Duh you idiot. You deserve to get sick for not drying your hair before walking outside in negative temps. My hair takes forever to dry even with the hair dryer but these past few days I've been making darn sure I get every last bit of water out of it before I leave for work. I'm not about to become a human Popsicle.

Our automatic washes have even been closed. I know the one is having trouble keeping the tunnel warm enough to prevent freezing. That is one job that would suck to have this time of year.

the car wash by my house here is open if its not raining or snowing, cold temps mean nothing, they must use warm water and the blower at the end drys the car pretty good. then the towel dry off from the workers.

Yeah I saw the guy who worked there, I was like man his job sucks. Scraping ice in the freezing temps with the full wind blowing right past him.(self wash bays) They should have been closed, bottom line. The water freezes so fast. But a different one that I go to sometimes has a closing door on the exit side so the wind doesn't blow through the bay which is great. Their water is also heated so it won't freeze so fast. I'm sure they could stay open but not the place I went to today, it's crazy. Like opening a water park today, it doesn't make sense lol
