I use SEM color coat paint for vinyl, and SEM prep/cleaner, and havnt used yet but going in my car today, dont know how good it will wear, cause its my pass seat. In a week or a month i will know how the seat will wear.

Painted seat belt buckle last night so i can install today.

I'm not getting the color scheme in the seat. What are you trying to match?

Ok so forgive the crude drawings. No PhotoShop at work, so my skillz in MSPaint had to show through. Losing lower stripes on front and rear bumper would be what I would do.

Example... squint a little and it looks better.

I like it better like this.

But, your car, up to you.

The stripes look good. Haven't seen a Dart with them yet.

As for what I did, I got pulled over. Was off the brakes coming down a hill when I saw the cop and it was too late. 62 in a 35.

He didn't write me an actual speeding ticket, he hit me with "violating traffic control device" which is a no points ticket.

The worst part is though, he wrote me a fix it ticket for the tint. Now I have to decide what to do for it. :/

Its a wide open road, 35 is a bogus speed limit on it. Either way, I was speeding per the law, and the officer only enforces the laws, he doesn't make them, so I hold no grudge.

I didn't think about the option of putting some jy glass in. I'm just wondering if it will fly with the rear window still being tinted.

One thing I can say though is at least the officer cited the statute correctly. Basically the statute reads, "If the officer cannot easily see inside, its in violation." It is written elsewhere that 70% of light must be able to be trasmitted or it's in violation, which basically means all tint is illegal in PA if they quote that.

As far as other options, I could:

    1. Pay to have the tint removed, get it checked out by a LEO, then put it back on in a week or so.
    2. Find a cool LEO to check it off for me.
    3. Find someone with a black 04-08 without tint, trade cars with them for a day, and get it checked out. I would put my plates on it too. I'd just have to hope he didn't check the VIN. Too bad my cousin's Comp G is copper and not black.
    4. Don't get it fixed and inspected and wait for the fine in the mail.

Option 2 or 3 would be the cheapest. LOL For option 4 I need to find out what the fine is. I have searched the internet high and low and haven't gotten a conclusive answer. I have read anything from $109 total to $100 per window.

they got me for tinted windows, 60 bucks, and not a fix it ticket. just pay up sucker. NJ your not supposed to have any tint on the front doors, or windshield. the back windows you can paint black if you want to, as long as you have 2 side view mirrors.

i just passed inspection with 35%, dont get that part, ill fight the next ticket, and ill state in court, the NJMVC passed this car at inspection. how can you say i cant have tint?

The part about state inspection is convoluted in PA.

Basically it says that tint can't cause you fail state inspection, even though the tint may violate statutes.

Stripes on the Dart are too far apart for sure. Points for the stripes actually going all the way down the bumpers.

goo gone would have removed those dots with ease. i had dipped the lips of my rims at one point and i had the same problem, bought some goo gone and came right off.

That can be a bad OBDII device, i had one do the same and wouldnt work no matter what.

And tint on the front windows is not allowed here, i have 70 - 75 - 80 - 85% forget which one, but have no problems.

Installed the pass front seat today and used it, drove my brother around, and no coloring or anything on his clothes.
