dont know if the polisher you bought has pads or not. but if you get a firm thick pad and use liquid compound, work it till its dry and wipes off with ease.
for the wax use a soft foam pad, same thing work it till its dry and wipes off with ease.
search you tube for porter cable orbital buffer, there are a ton of how to vids so you can do it without fear of messing up. you do need to use a lot of pressure pushing down on the buffer, no pressure no shine!
your arms, neck and back will hurt when you are done, but the car will look like new!

Drove the GP to my sister's house so I could borrow her truck to get some firewood. Trying to keep my winter electric bill down.

NO. its not magic!
but it will remove most scratches that dont catch your nail as you run your finger nail across it. and will bring badly faded paint back to life, my car is living prof. its been months since i did my car and it still shines like mad.
Re: What did you do to your Car today?
i cant decide if i wanna go to the zaino polish route, which doesnt require waxing or buffing, but looks ohsosexy.
or if i wanna invest in an orbital buffer and the pads and just go that route.
