An accessory belt. Hmmm
it is the nice traction tape belt that I like. If you look at the inside in light..it'll glimmer. Like traction tape.

Kinda sorta, early 99 had the option to still buy the "classic" version of the silverado (96-98 style vortec) or buy the new trucks with the 5.3 motor. Hopefully you don't run into any issue with your 99, because it being the first year they are well known for some eletrical gremlins and odd issues.
It has its issues already, but knew that going into the deal. Got the truck for a steal so I couldn't pass it up. And the GP is officially gone but not forgotten. :(
Well got the first part of a three part patch done for the driver quarter. Panel bonding done. Next piece to be bonded will be done tomorrow along with finishing up the body filler on the driver fender.

Bolts? why not weld and clean it up like it was never damaged?
i am guessing since he panel bonded it he needed to hold it in place. I am assuming he wil then take out the bolts and weld up the holes, putty, sand and prime.....I am no body guy but my 2 cents
With 20+ screws?
Lol those will be taken out and filled back in with panel bond then sanded smooth. Its to hold it tight against the panel since I couldn't clamp it. I will be clamping the support piece and the quarter patch itself will be welded
Basically since no clamp I needed to ensure it was tightly held against the old panel
