Got my dual pillar pod yesterday test fitted it today.![]()
drove it around town pretending that my dreams came true and it was a manual![]()
Yanked some pointless and uneccessary things from the GTP. Stock airbox, engine cover, some bracket, a slab of cardboard that was stuck to radiator, some leaves, and wiped down the SC so now it looks alot cleaner under the hood.
well of course have them on while balancing
I thought about it some more, and it wasn't the balancing that was thrown off - it was the valve stem itself. The weight of the cap kept causing it to shift around, and the tire kept losing air. So enjoy the caps. But if you start losing air for no reason you can think of, there you go.
For what I did today, I noticed a turn signal light was out. Took off the rear tail light assembly, and found quite a bit of water in it. Also discovered that the reverse light was also out. Poured out about 12 oz. of water, replaced all the lights. Have to replace the tail lights eventually, but this will do for now. Or I'll just keep buying lights as they short out.![]()
My valve stems wont move around - i bought ss valve steams = solid.
all good.
and the dice weigh 3 grams
the ss reg valve caps are 2 grams
not worried - and yes the dice are aluminum.
Drove to OC, MD for the fireworks. Great time.
Drove it around a bit to get fireworks and then to the river to blow em up. But yeah.. I absolutely hate running the a/c when I get impatient in traffic in stop and go downtown. Soo yeah, after waiting like 30 minutes in a stand still to get out of downtown, dropped my passengers off, turned the air off, and to the house I raceda/c is beautiful but it's such a power hog.
Lol, I mean don't get me wrong, if the sun is shining there's absolutely no question, the air will be ON like a mafaker. However when the sun goes down, wind will keep you cool enough and with the less traffic at night I like the extra power to scoot on around![]()
If you feel a serious power loss...your ac compressor is likely not up to par.
looked like she needed gas as i passed the gas station, oh well she will wait.
She needs a cleaning, I've been riding her dirty too long. And it might be time to take the future center console out of the back seat.
Stop sending me crappy weather and too much work. I'll get it cleaned up.
Thinking about this more..
Sunday late afternoon I returned from PA and did laundry, straightened things up etc. Bought curtains for the slding door to block sunlight.
Monday back to work, emission test truck and fixed neighbor kids headlights, swapped O2 sensor (worst I've ever fought, half that battle was with the engine running), and tossed an STB on it. Return curtains for different color and picked up a valance for the kitchen window. Had dinner, put all that stuff up.
Tuesday paid vehicle taxes (received them the day before), went to DMV and renewed the truck registration. Then relaxed for a few minutes until mechanic buddy called asking for a hand.
I put a whole jug of washer fluid in her. That's it.
Turned ovr 60,000 miles.
Heck..I rolled 204K Tues night.
