changed that bad caliper bracket on my friends explorer today. fun time trying to find a new bracket too. the only way to get it was to buy a whole new caliper, it came with the bracket and all new hardware.
my old school parts store just got bought up by carquest. any way in an attempt to make a customer happy, they sold me the bracket and sliders for $20.( a really good deal) i returned the old bracket, and they marked the part as defective lol love it. the best part of his truck are the brakes now.
sad part is im doing the rear hubs next. it still howls on the highway.
After I dropped mine and didn't get hurt I felt euphoric and had what I call the Invulnerability syndrome. That's a dangerous place to be in your head.
Just finished using my turtle wax black box kit for the first time and its money well spent! I also did this to my third brake light...http://img.tapatalk.com/d0362dd3-ac2d-c3b0.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d0362dd3-ac86-3183.jpg

bought a tap and die set to try and fix the broken caliper
got the broken bit out, but it shredded the insides of the bolt hole, was able to tap it, but threads were not deep enough.
new one is on the way, will be in on thursday. let this saga be over.
In other news.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEREK
Going off of rcdino1978's thread about making new springs for us from Hyperco I've been looking into running a Camaro spring up front as a cheap option to get my front lower since my Eibachs sit low in the back.
Washed the bird poo off my GT and changed oil on the 09 Eclipse (gf's ride)
Actually you didn't have to. on my GT I had the 1 piece, you just lift the one end up and you can get it in there just fine, it bends enough to do that. :) You overworked yourself for nothing lol.
And I changed my oil last night at about 10pm. Waited almost 6k miles on synthetic between this last change. Some bash, others say I didn't wait long enough. Either way I think I will try to stick to a 3-5k range
