You need something better on gas???
I hope the car is NOT paid off, because otherwise your argument is invalid. If you have the car paid for, do a tune up and enjoy it, because if you get a new car, 90% won't get much better efficiency unless you're looking at rolling in a Prius. And the extra $$$ in car payment will most likely offset the extra you would just pay in fuel for the car you currently have. Plus if it is newer your insurance may or maynot go up, which would be more. Its the whole grand scheme of things that made me realize I really don't need to spend the money on a crotchrocket.... dammit.
I only argue this because my 99 get 20+ in town (if I drive like a civilized human being, not a crack head kid that thinks its a racecar) and I get 32ish at 70 on the highway, 34ish at 65 with cruise set... 28 at 120 with the AC on mwuahahaa :th_king-evil: and no, your Prius won't keep up LMAO, I may have to fill up again, but I ENJOY my car.
Don't make us :th_chairshot:you hehe
It's has been payed off for a couple of years. I'm looking at a small 4cyl for about $1000 or less put a small amount to get it tuned up and put the rest of the money from the GP on bills. I want out of as much debt as possible. I want my wife to quit working around the end of June to start home schooling our little boy and need debt payed down. We will be saving the gas money since she won't be driving every day. Trying to stay above the water not just floating along. It will be a sad day when it is gone, but once we are able to save more cash, I imagine a GTP will be in the cards. Maybe a CompG if I am lucky.
^^I love the Avatar
Today I got rid of my HID's....couldn't deal with the radio static at night anymore....Replaced them with Sylvania's new ZXE bulbs. Not sure if I'm crazy about them yet though..
I did this http://www.grandprixforums.net/auxil...dio-61160.html yesterday. Well worth it, local radio was getting boring, and the CD Player wasn't working anymore anyways. Just snipped the wires for the CD side, as I don't use it anyways, just have an old cd in going all the time, and used a 3-point switch and wired it to the board. Very straight forward, mine had red wires instead of white, but everything else was straight through.
Very solid write-up, will allow me to use my phone as a internet streamer (iHeartRadio App) &/or MP3 player, and radio still functions the same. Saves on having to get a new Head Unit for a while :D
Installed a cam position sensor.... didnt fix anything.
Finally checked the tranny fluid after work. Just a little low from the change.
Yanked the fuel rail and alternator off. They got cleaned up and painted today. Next course of action is to do something to the blower case...
Today i put a passenger in my car.
Not a damn thing.........
^ Pics or it didn't happen.
I finished up the detailing I started yesterday, and checked fluid levels. Another reminder of that slow leak I have somewhere in the engine coolant line.
i had a pretty bad oil leak in my eyes, leaving a 3 inch a 2 inch and a 1 inch puddle everywhere i parked, i just changed my valve cover gaskets and im all dry now, i had oil dripping off every oil pan bolt the trans pan was coated in oil, oil dripping out off the motor mount, everywhere lol, dry now.
i knew i was on the right track when i pulled the plug wires off in the rear and they all had fresh oil all over them.
It is getting new plugs and wires in the near future, so maybe we'll find something then. Idk.
I have a nickle sized spot everyday when i leave work. It appears to only be concentrated around the pan, but idk. It sure got nasty again pretty quickly after I cleaned under there.
washed it...ran out of wax after i waxed the hood....took it to the lake for a photoshoot...end of day
