Yup.. and apparently on many of the motors GM built in a handy little circuit/programming that says if the pcm doesn't see pressure.. it won't give you fuel.
Pretty sure the required 3 cranks is what my truck suffers from.

I got it to finally clear this morning but its still saying 80ish psi oil pressure.
I'm not going to hurt anything by driving it am I? I figured if it was that bad it would go into limp mode or something. Bad sensor is better than losing pressure altogether I guess.
The whole, remote start won't work if a code is on is dumb. I know it's a protection thing, but still.
Got the retros aimed and sealed up last night. Now that the RTV is dry I'll go ahead and put them in permanently. Call the owner of Alternatorparts.com and proceeded to get screwed without so much as lube or a kiss. His website makes no mention of it at all, but he doesn't warranty any parts unless he installs them. It was kind of funny really, He kept saying it was the rectifier causing problems...until he found out it was a rectifier he sold me. Then his tune changed. He's not getting another dime of my money, ever.
Booba, you bought a complete alternator from them? If so, I'd keep pushing to make him go good on it.
From their site: Warranty doesnot cover the bridge rectifier, voltage regulators or the burn up of stators in complete units or components sold separately. Our goal is to help you reach your goal, customer installed repair kits, conversion and upgrade kits and parts are excluded from warranty.
All complete (pre-assembled) Alternator and Starters will be covered by a return and repair guarantee for a period of twelve (12) months from date of delivery unless otherwise stated on sales receipt
Well ****, I guess it does say something about it, lol. I was pushing him today and he wouldn't budge. It should still be plainly listed on his page, where you buy the parts. What's funny about the whole thing is everything worked fine for a week, nothing changed, and it's output dropped to less than that of a stock alternator. I found rectifier's cheaper on ebay anyways, exact same product, from Florida.
Crappy deal. I know a lot of mfg's are making their warranty so hard to find.
Over the weekend I changed my blown up engine and trans mounts for solid versions. Car feels better! I haven't driven it much due to the snow but I hope this fixes the issue I have with the car pulling to the right.
Adjusted my idle

Finally got the retros done:

it the rev limiter spinning into second gear lol
Sold my 2006 Sierra today, should be going to a good home and getting to see some cool stuff.
Buyer was the owner of a drag strip in northern MN, say it will be his new pulling truck/response truck for crashes.
Got this in the mail today

And the racevan blew a brake line.
Not yet, but I aimed them last night, and all I can say is

Sharp. I bet the car seems ten years newer from behind the wheel, at night. Can't get my mind around retros on mine though and I need to buy headlights. What would the term be for fitting older lamps? Or just seperate hi/lo beams? I kinda don't get what the hype is about with the retro conversion. It does look cooler than stock and I'm sure its brighter but from what I've read man it seems like a lot of trouble.
I think thats just called adding aux lighting like offroad lights? here is shot of mine http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...d8335fe948.jpg
Well these would be in place of the old headlights. Yours look plenty bright. I think my fogs put out most of the light, haha.
I know how you feel, before i got new housings my fog lights were brighter than my lows. This is just my fogs, im using some yellow bulbs but my phone messed up the color. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...fb17615b8c.jpg
Yea fogs are the only thing that lights up the jumpy lurkin deer at the edge o the woods. Stock headlights AND brakes are better on a 69 than a 99 model, thats a noodle-scratcher for me.
