Didn't break anything actually. Felt like six pounds of crap stuffed into a five pound bag as soon as the valve cover came off. The inside of an engine is about as foreign to me as the salad bar is.
Fixed my KR and also found out why I failed to outrun a stock Regal GS... I was making all of four pounds of boost. Plugged the vac line leading to the BBV and now I'm back up to 10 lbs, where I belong.
