im not gonna say ive never snapped a bolt off, but most were when removing old bolts. i maybe twisted 1 or 2 off making them to tight. (when i was a kid) but you learn when to stop, where tight is. and snap is.
good and snug, then a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn more is more then enough in most cases. (especially for small bolts)
I've snapped a few bolts over the last few years, all of them were from removing old rusty bolts. Also all of them weren't even broken while breaking them loose, I already did that, and it got easier and halfway out it just twists off. It's so weird, actually happened yesterday on a starter solenoid nut, the stud twisted and broke halfway off.
Only time I've really snapped a bolt is on JY cars that have been sitting for awhile. On anything that's been driving recently it's usually pretty easy to get the bolts out.
Drilled holes in the cat. Runs better now
lol. How does it sound now? Just cut that thing out. Or remove the DP and gut the cat, and reinstall.
Done nothing too it she's still sitting in the snow waiting for me to come home and drive her.

Drove it around town, and saw a guy a couple blocks from me is selling his beat up Prix. It's an 06+ base with an inferno hood, inferno spoiler, and some big exhaust tip. The hood a some tiny chipped away paint on one side, inferno spoiler has lost its clear coat, the front bumper is cracked, front passenger door is dented up, front passenger fender is dented, holey, and rusty, and rear driver side door is dented. He wants $2,222.22 for it.

Now what I was thinking was calling the guy and seeing if he would swap hoods with me for $50-100. (my GXP hood is same color and in good shape)
Just concerned if the color would match well enough.
Just took another peek, and the hood doesn't match up on both sides (alignment-wise). Would that be the hinges fault, and would I be able to get away without swapping the hinges?
Why can't i find **** like this? ^^^
Yeah me too lol
Yelled at it some more after work tonight. I got it to start again though :th_thumbsup-wink:
I had a P0128 code pop up this morning. So I removed my thermostat and found this. That metal top was popped up.

After doing that, I took the car for a drive and for the first time since I have owned it the car actually got up to operating temp of 195. When I went on a test run it started hesitating and stalling out. Started right back up everytime. I scanned it again and got a P0102. So the MAF took a sh*t.
Took out the whole TB, cleaned it all up. It was terrible glad I did remove it because it needed a new gasket. I could not believe it hadn't been leaking coolant. I used that MAF sensor cleaner stuff on the MAF. Followed the directions, and the car is back running. Seems to pull harder now too.
fixed the slow leaks on the back snow tires i bought. they both needed bead sealant.
so back in black.....for now...and filth dirty, it almost got a bath today but its supposed to rain on Sunday. so whats another few days right?

Remote started it, remote stopped it.
Drove to work then docs then back to work then home then to the docs then home. Long day
Gave it a direly needed bath. Was a nice 68* today. Also debadged the GTP side emblems, and got a new band clamp for the front slip joint on the headers.
Ran it though the touchless car wash to get the salt and grime off it. Too bad it is supposed to rain this weekend.
