im getting really sick of this from bill. Im thinking i should leave i dont need moderators freaking chaning names with out warning what if i was loged out or on a friends computer and i wanted to show off this site then what? oh cant log in because of bill?
Did more work on the Impala today starting with a much needed oil change. Then took it up to o'reillys to have the codes cleared and one of the guys told me there was a MAF sensor code stored on the car before he cleared it. So I go ahead and check the condition of the MAF and it looks fine so I check out the wiring...
Just a little backstory for you guys: this car had been on fire and the fire was right next to the throttle body area. So there is evidence of fire damage on the hood, exhaust crossover, and the master cylinder.
Anywho I start pulling back the electrical tape and whoever "fixed" it just stripped the wires and twisted them together! The IAT wiring was the same way and who knows how many other sensors in the immediate area are like that (I gave up fixing wires after those two sensors because I was getting aggravated)! Then after that the car still had a funky idle and the only place I could hear hissing was on the back side of the plenum where the brake booster vacuum hose hooks to. So I pull it all off and find the O-ring all sorts of messed up. Since I could not find my extra O-rings from the LIM kit from my car I just took a coolant elbow o-ring (which fit snug, just was not as thick as I wanted) and added a bit of RTV to it and shoved it back on the car. Then after that it was on to lining up the newly installed passenger door (was too close to fender and shutting the door took way too much effort). Plan was to get a new upper hinge for it since the current one is slightly bent but I devised a new plan because I didn't want to run to the jy. So I had my brother run to the store and buy 12 washers (three per bolt that goes into the door itself) then I went ahead and loosened all the bolts and removed each bolt one by one while inserting three washers between the hinge and the door (this was all done by myself as was the hanging of the door, having a floor jack helps ALOT!) Then after adding all the washers and tightening the bolts I got out and slowly shut the door and viola! It shuts without any extra effort AND the body lines between the two doors and the body line between the fender and door are near perfect.
Only one more project left for now which is the passenger low beam light and I can get my car back!

The sound has a background noise when it's quiet, but when you have music on it covers it up. Or any other noise that's louder than the camera noise. The wide angle lense makes it look kinda loopy, but I'd rather have that than only a small area of coverage.
Also, I had to start the video with someone running a red light lol.
I honestly don't know why one would pay for a dash can when you can use tourqe pro which gives a map overlay and readouts layed out with video through your cell phone. Just my. 02Quote:
