its not worth a letter home to mom power wise. but really you may feel a bit off the line more, and hear the sc a lot more. on paper the open cone should net a mile or 2 tops if you drive like a old lady, once the sc can be heard you will be in the gas more, and lose mpg over all, self control is your friend on this one.

i used a spectra filter, like this, i also used a 90 deg elbow because i could not find a 45 at the home depot.

or if you get a 45 and a longer filter you could do it like this.

both cars in the pic are 97 - 03. both of those the maf is in the throttle body, if you have a 04 + the maf is in a tube before the TB, so you have to leave it in line where it is. search 04 cold air intake, theres a good write up on it. its no harder to do than what is pictured.

    What sensor?

Sounds like either you got a heavy foot, or you make really really short trips like I do.

18.7 in the gtp and 19.1 in the gxp per the DIC... Mix of hwy and city driving... Drove the gtp to Baltimore from Detroit for a ravens/steelers game last year and I got 30.2 on winter bs premium gas...
