I'm sorry but you guys haven't slightest clue what HDR actually is. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, and makes things more true to life, not more cartoony.
If you looked it up, you'd find within a minute of reading a wiki page that the intention of HDR is, in fact, to make theme look more real. It's almost in the name, changes the lighting ranges. High, as in a large amount, dynamic, as in variable, and range as in... range.
Just thought I'd let you know. Bugs me when I see things called something they aren't.
Yes. Because once it's passed the point of realism, it's no longer HDR, just another silly effect. That's the key point of HDR lighting, to make things look more realistic, as it would in real life.
Not slamming on the pictures, they look unique and interesting, but it isn't HDR.
So if i cooked a burger on the grill, but burned it to crisps because I prefer to taste nothing but char. Its not a burger anymore?
hahaha, I know this stuff is compleatly off topic but I have plently of HDR photos that look absolutly amazing.
Put some up!
HDR = crushed blacks and white washed everything.
so you're a car?
I was just posting those to show how HDR can be. I wasn't gunna post them cuz their not of my car but someone said post them. And no that's not me.
True.
HDR does have a point of negative returns.
