Once it hits -10 F around here I plug in the battery heater on my car. I know keeping the battery warm/hot is probably shortening the life span of it, but I'd rather get 2-3 years out of it max than get a couple of months out of it when one or more of the cells freeze solid.

I've also got heaters for basically the entire powertrain, so that might help too.
