    Hi, I am trying to find the exact model of my 06 grand prix. it is a 4 dr sedan, 3800 series 3 engine with single exhaust. would appreciate some help, google hasn't been kind

    There were 3 options for that year. Base, GT(supercharged), or GXP(V8).

    Single Exhaust = base model.

    Thank you very much, both. when I bought it in 07 I got told se which = standard edition. later on as base. not that is an issue I called the gm dealership and lady on the phone through for a loop with gt? All I had to do was my friends from the forum.

    SE is special edition and they generally have different wheels and a different hood.

    Ok. I was just going off memory. I could have sworn I have seen some 05+ SE's with the heat extractor hood.

    best thing to do is, have the vin# in hand, call a local dealer ship, ask them what your car is. they will know if its a se, base or what have you. should even be able to tell you its options, then you know if stuff was added over its life time.
