After searching for an intake hose and not being able to find one that matches the stock one, I decided to buy and aftermarket hose and cone air filter setup. Upon opening the airbox I discover that there is a computer in the airbox. I assume the idea is that the intake air will cool the computer. If I remove the airbox, and remount the computer on the inner fender, will the computer over heat? I would replace the factory hose if I could find one, but I cannot find one that matches, (too short, and no tumor on the side), any thoughts?

Any thoughts on doing mod on factory box (enlarging inner fender opening) to accept new filter and tube?

people have gutted the stock air box, cut open slots in the sides to let more air in and the sound out, stock box is like a muffler, open cone you'll hear your sc whine.
