It's a decent mod. Out of all my mods that er rockers made the biggest difference
Well guys, I sold my gt1 cam to a buddy who wants to use it in a Bonneville and I bought some er rockers on here. I'm hoping to have them in this weekend. Although it's pretty snowy here so I may just wait. None the less I'm hoping these will complement my plog and hv3.

Congrats on the huge downgrade and over priced 10hp.
I got um used from a guy on here so I didn't break the bank. I was just seriously never going to get the cam in. I planned it and planned it but it wasn't going to happen. With how much I spent on the trans rebuild and lifter job (should have done the cam then) I can't justify having it pulled apart again. It will be ok for now. At least I hope.

I ran 1.8 rockers with crow springs before my s1x cam. Loved it. But I loved the cam more
gotta do what's best for you man
I knew it was a downgrade but I also knew it was going to be a paper weight for the next 6 months. Oh well. At least I sourced some er rockers like everyone suggested. Rockers I am confident in doing myself with a buddy.

It's fun actually. Get a fitting to run your airline into the spark plug hole. Have fun dicking with the valve locks ;)
use a telescopic magnet.
My favorite valve spring tool is a lever style one and while I held down the spring my buddy would tap the retainer and grab the locks
but they also love to fall. Into places you can never reach or see
I know I'm going to catch crap for this but I'm going to attempt running stock springs on the er's, I have found plenty of good results of doing so. My shift points are right before 6k and it's not like I have a 200k car or anything. So fingers crossed.

Next you're gonna tell us you will reuse the stock rocker bolts ?
Lmao no no I have reusable rocker bolts in the car already from when we did lifters.

;) Lol
My only fear/question is about pushrods, now when I tired putting in my old 1.9 rockers the car had no compression, this was due mostly in part to my lifters not bleeding off oil, so we installed ls7 lifters and got compression back but the car ran like crap until we put stock rockers back on. After talking to zzp we came to the conclusion that the wonderful missing in action member I bought the 1.9's from failed to include the pedestals that are required with those particular zzp 1.9's. so I sold them at a huge loss as rockers only. These er's that I bought are from a pretty reputable member on here and he has included everything that they came with from zzp. So are stock pushrods good to go on er rockers?

Stock pushrods will work fine.

I used stock springs with my er rockers i had to go back to stock shift points due to valve float.
I also reused the rocker bolts, have over 10000km on them no issues, ppl will bash me but I don't gives a f*** :)
I've reused lots of stock rocker bolts. Stock bolts are way better than those pos comp reusable bolts that zzp sells.
I suppose these are the same bolts intense sells? My shift points are around 5800-5900 at wot. I have another pcm tuned my the same guy who sold me my old 1.9's but I'm not a fan of no od till 56mph and the 3-1 skip shift being allowed to happen at such a high speed, I feel like things could break quick.

I used the OR rods with my 1.9s then when I went to the s1x I went back to stock rods but used the upgraded lifters
