I have the oddest issue with the blower on my car (2006 Grand Prix 3.8). Does not matter if it is on heat or AC - when the car is at idle nothing comes out of the vents. When I start moving air comes out just fine, hot air if the heater is on, cold air if the AC is on. When I stop again air movement through the vents stops. So far the only thing I have done is replaced the cabin air filter.

When driving is it possible that enough air could be forced through the vents even if the blower was shot?

    Thanks!

some things leaving the vent open.

if you use the fan on high speed does it blow car parked at idle?

No, none of the speeds work at idle. I have tried them all - and tried switching between outside air and recirculating. I can change where the air comes out (floor, dash vents, and defrost). But as soon as I stop I get zero air movement out of the vents.

if the fan dont work its either bad, or its resistor is bad. you can test for power before and after th eresistor, if you have power before it, something else is bad, maybe the climate control or a fuse.
