I don't know how you've never heard of Plastikote brand paint. It's been around forever.

oreillys just called me back n r cutting me a deal on 12 cans for 88$ of GM duplicolor bright white so ill pick that up tommorow.

How much is mixed or factory packaged basecoat, did you compare?

Plastikote is as good as the other name brand paints.

But if u would of thru a coat of sealer on them they prob woulda lasted longer..

The only comparison I've done is just a spray test. I ripped out my hood liner and as everyone knows its not painted under there. So I bought a can of the duplicolor exact match and it seemed to be pretty dang close - without the clear coat. Now after seein scottys photos with only resprayin the bumpers, his metallic black seems to be a dead ringer

I'm used to buyin my paint from painters supply and they don't carry that brand. This is my first build where I've bought most of the parts online. My build is more in a sense like scottys build where its done on a tight budget but still taking my time to get it done right
