I have 2002 Grand Prix 3.8, I can slowly accelerate it up through the RPM's if I mash the pedal I get nothing. What would be causing this? I am getting no codes from computer.

supercharged or not? how many miles? It could be several things; clogged cat, vacuum leak, dirty maf, misfires, among others.

    Everything he said.

I suspect a clogged cat. You could use a temp gun to check how hot it's getting if it has limited exhaust flow through it. If the temp at the front of the cat is way higher than at the rear, it's likely clogged up and not flowing well.

This is not how a forum works. We can't help you unless you help yourself. You basically have said, my car runs bad, how do I fix it?

I and the most of the others here are willing to help, we just needed more information about what's going on.

That's why we had asked which engine, what have you done and those kinds of things. Saying you just bought the car and know nothing about didn't help us any right away.

We figured you atleast tried something to fix it but this is not the case. So doing what scotty said is the best place to start, do a tune up with the normal things like spark plugs and wires, clean the coil terminals, check vacuum hoses, clean the throttle body and MAF sensor. All general maintance stuff to start rulling possible problems out.

Dirty MAF, bad ICM, destroyed plugs, bad fuel filter/pump, Cam sensor, there is more.

Throwing parts at a problem is the absolute worst way to try to fix it. Do a full tuneup: plugs, wires, fuel/air filter.

Does it still have factory intake gaskets? They are known to go bad and it can seriously hurt WOT performance.
