    Yo,

Starting to do some work to my lovely stock GTP it's a 99 and the first thing i wanna do is rip out that old radio and door speakers and put some good stuff in them, my radio has no AUX cord and the CD player is broken so its time to get some new tech in there.
What sizes are the two door speakers on the driver and passenger side doors? they look like 6.5in but I'm not 100% sure. I looked and the rear doors don't look like they have any speakers in them so i guess i gotta just buy 2 ?

Anybody whos ripped out the stock radio unit from their GTP can you tell me how hard it was and did you end up scraping your radio buttons on your steering wheel or are you able to hook them back up to another deck???

Thanks boys and girls! GTP"S rock!

5 3/4 in the doors 6x9s in the rear deck. Your car might have 4" speakers in the rear deck as well as 6x9s.
You will need a steering wheel interface to use your steering wheel controls with an aftermarket unit.
To get a better idea of what you will need go to www.crutchfield.com and go to what fits my car. It will tell you what speakers fit where and when you look at a stereo it will list what accessories are needed.

Nope, went to my local audio store and they looked the car up and it said the sides where 5 1/4, anyway I got the speakers solved and the functions on my doors taken care of. The next problem is i found a great deck to put into the car but it's 4in's tall where as my radio is only 3.5in...... Will it still fit? will i have to cut away at the dash plastic to make it fit?

Most double din will require some trimming to fit.

Sorry that was a typo on my part. I do apologize for that.
If you want a double din stereo in your gp, you have 2 options.
