Not sure of this topic has been beat down yet, but a search didn't pull anything up, u less I didn't search right. Anyway, I need to replace the oem coolant in my 03 GP with the 3.1. Pretty sure the oem dex cool is still in it. I pulled the radiator cap yesterday and on it was a thick brown substance that could be pulled off like old gasket material. What's the correct type of coolant to be run in these to replace the oem acidic dex cool? Should I also do a full system flush?

id flush it to water, then use green coolant. new dex is supposed to not sludge up, but green is cheaper and works fine.

I agree with scottydoggs, buy full strength coolant, then water it down to 50/50 yourself. Ready-to-use coolant is a RIP! Get yourself a Prestone hydrometer (really cheap) it "weighs" your coolant when you suck it up into it with attached "turkey baster" bulb. A little plastic needle floats on a pivot and points to your freeze/boilover protection level in degrees.(idiot proof) Be sure to rinse it out with clean WATER a few times and it'll be the last one you buy....E.
