    I have the center console out but am unable to get the cigarette lighters out. What do I need to do?

    Should be a clip on the backside that holds it into the console IIRC. Think you just squeeze both clips and pull the wire harness off.

    I believe I need a GM J tool but I dont have one. What else can I use

    Didn't the center unscrew? On the back side. It's 2 pieces

    thats how a regal works for sure bob, not sure bout the gp's.

    regals it will spin when twisted, you hold it still and turn the lock collar on the back.
