I had to change the multifunction switch in my Grand Prix 2008, before I did that I removed the air bag fuse which is fuse 9. After I was all done everything was working fine, until my gmos after market harness for my radio burnt out causing my car battery to drain. Battery Is fully charged but now the air bag light is on I checked the fuse it is still intact. Now I am not sure if the airbag light was on after I installed the new multifunction switch. Any feedback is much appreciated in how can I troubleshoot the airbag light.

Have it scanned for codes and see what it says. Not sure if Autozone scanners can pick up SRS codes or not. Beyond that, if the aftermarket harness burnt up somewhere in the steering wheel maybe it took out a wire for the airbag?

Well decided to take it to my local garage as they have the scanner. Error code was saying it was the passenger side. We went back inside on his computer and had a look at the wiring digram because it is strange that the key fobs weren't working as well. Turned out to be a fuse missing, the fuse was the RFA / MOD used for the Key FOBs. I assumed they piggyback the power on that. How the hell did that fuse pop out? I sure didn't remove it.
