New Autolite 104s gapped to .050. Ones that came out looked like there were originally gapped to .050 but measures .052 ish reflecting wear.

How many miles?
I put close to 22k~ on my AL103R's on my Thrasher motor.
For all those people that said 103/4's only last like two oil changes.
Not sure...just bought the car in August and have been doing routine service. Also was suggested that I check plug gap at .050" to eliminate a little KR at WOT. I figured if I'm going to take the trouble to pull the plugs and gap them, I may as well replace them.
The plugs themselves look good, not fouled at all, what caught my eye is how rusty the outsides are....I have never seen plugs rust like that on the outside.
Mainly because the wires only cover the white and that the plugs do stick out of the head pretty far. Aswell as them being able to see road splash/condensation.
And kinda because the AL brand isnt like some NGK's/delco plugs that I think have a protective coating on the outside, I've seen some delco plugs look pretty good still after many years.
