    Posting for a buddy.

Car has been chugging and randomly cutting off lately.

Car stalled and shut off yesterday. Got it towed home and trying to start it and Lights dim and volt gauge shows 14 at key on. Tried to start it and no luck. Exhaust backfired.

Car has no catalytic converter as well.

Gas can be smelled when exiting the car. Engine code for short on cylinder 3 injector wire. Snagged another connector and wire for the injector.

Used the multimeter to check power at the injector connector and it has it.

Cylinder three shows 2155 misfire history.

Any idea what it could be?

Check vacuum lines and those were good.

Unplug the maf and that made no difference.

    Stumped.

Does it go wooo wooo after it chugs? What's the afr like. Sounds rich if you smell gas. Possibly stuck injector. Changed plugs? First thing id do for a misfire. Does missfire change cyl if you swap wires with another cyl. Cleaned all coil pack terminals?

Chugs at low rpms. Car gas had an constant misfire since the tune up a few months ago. Cylinder three wire had got damaged while resting on the plog. He replaced it with a wire from the Junkyard Lmao. Gonna swap plug with different cylinder tommorow

Plugs can be bad. Replace it. Plugs are cheap. And replace the wire with a new one.
