Every time I get gas I have to move the pump around probably 10x before it finally finds a spot it likes. Is the tube bent funny where the pressure backs up or something? Sometimes it gets crazy aggravating and I'm ready to hose the car and set it a blaze rather than deal with it again.

My dads mustang is the same way. I think the bend is too restrictive which splashes gas back on the nozzle tricking it into thinking its full.

I've found that if I allow a few moments after removing the cap for fumes to escape, I don't have this problem. Solved it by simply opening the cap first then paying or using card. Usually takes fuel in like normal once the tank pressure equalizes with the atmosphere.

I only stick the nozzle in 1/4th to half way, works fine like 9/10 times.

I've found that this works but sometimes the gas bubbles up and out before it clicks off. It stays in the nozzle spot and doesn't go over the side of the car or anything but still don't like it when that happens.

I don't use the auto fill feature on the pumps, I always hold the trigger and just listen for it. That way it can't bubble up too high if it wanted too.

I spent way too long trying to figure out how the OP was moving the pump around. You just meant the nozzle....

And I have best luck by pulling the nozzle slightly out of the fillup tube, maybe 1/2" - 1", and then I can blast away at full volume.

Although maybe moving the pump around would help too, I'll try that next time I fill up.

I guess I just pull up to pump, take gas cap off, slide card, hit what gas I want, then put nozzle in all the way and put the auto fill thing on the pump on. I had a problem with the 07 gp I had, my 01 and my 08 g6 do not have this problem

The 07 i had, i would have to remove the gas nozzle about half way for it to work
