Macs are not immune to viruses anymore than a windows machine is. Heck, you can viruses on your android or iphone!

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem now but since the Malware message has been gone I can't use the Forum Jump buttons. The mouse just glides over like they are part of the background.

What does building your own system have to do with malware? I have never bought a prebuilt system in my life. My dad has always had a computer when I was growing up and I didn't get one of my own till I was in the 8th grade.

I just pass on and keep an eye on my anti-virus programs (yes plural)

Haven't noticed any problems so far, or they are REALLY sneaky.

EDIT: Drunkie is right. With all the boasting of "virus-free" problems, hackers and virus designers took the challenge and put their foot down. Linux is one of the few programs that run fairly virus free, but even they get attacks from time to time. Even android phones get them. No system is safe, you just have to be careful and protect yo sh**.

Its not an issue with the site, this site will not just randomly upload a virus onto your PC.

What happens is a website was deemed malicious either by service providers or google or whoever. Someone then linked an active html tag (Image) to the said site and when google went to re-catalog our website, picked up the URL to said Malicious site and hence the warning. What URL is it? God only knows since we all link images to this website everyday. But this should in no way give your computer a virus, this site is not infectious.

Yup, I usually only notice it in the Random Picture threads and figured it was a picture tag making the connection.

That would be true if they were able to crawl that thread. So since you need above normal permissions to see that section I doubt Google is crawling that thread

I use SuperMotors for my web page. A few months ago I got the same "malware" warning. I ignored it, but finally checked the coding, and as I figured, no malware. Turns out that SuperMotors was flagged a while back, and that effected me. SM was in the midst of getting it resolved when I contacted them and it looks like the malware warnings have been dropped.

I see these warnings all the time as of late, so I'm sure that other hosts got hacked too.
