we are in a transition phase, fellas. please help us to help you in the time when we are working out way into the final setup. nothing has changed, but we've just asked a few to join up to help us clean house and make sure things run orderly around here. people have other things to do in life besides hang out here, so having a bunch of us gives us a greater margin of people catching things that need to be done at the time.
please, bear with us. your normally scheduled program will continue shortly.
Please give things a chance. We aren't here to just lock threads, ban people etc. As Nick stated with more mods we can help the site run smoother. Not all of us will be online at the same time. We all have *our* individual areas to work in but will also be able to help watch over the forum as a whole.
I'm weilding my moddly powers for ..... helping the search button work better. By changing a "please HELP me ASAP!!!!" title, the OP will hopefully get better exposure and future searching will yield better results.
The pm we got was a simple, please help us clean threads and help others be able to use the forum better/easier.
Modding isn't "fun" and it's surely not "exciting". It's typically a constant stream of flak from members asking why you changed their thread title (no matter how poorly they titled it), continual questions like "can you ban that dickhead" etc etc. There's very little glory, an expected super professional attitude when dealing with member issues and ... zero pay. The only payback is seeing members/newbies say "thanks, I was able to find help quickly".
And that's the truth about owning/modding a forum.
Edit: I'm voting no. Based on too many "Please help" titles.

I already cried..... and I realized I wanted to keep on trollin' my front lawn. I'm over it now, had to use a whole box of tissues.
Dilligaf worthy, indeed. I've often wondered what type of power trip non moderators think comes with this newfound moderator status- Not to mention the rate of pay...
I didnt even notice there were new mods... HMmm just shows how much I pay attention huh
Why does it matter whether or not there is too many Moderators? I just don't see how that should effect anything. If anything, it's better that we have this many moderators, and the only reason I see that someone would have a problem with the amount of mods is jealousy imo.
Edit: Yeah, yeah, I probably repeated what a lot had already said, but all I did was read the first post, and then posted my reply.
I just am left wondering what the process was for choosing the new moderators? Some of those people you chose are more than qualified and I see as being great moderators. A few of the other people have me left wondering why they were chosen and who did the choosing? What were the criteria?
The plain of simple of it is this. Yes we needed more moderators but I think there should have been a nomination and voting process. If you are going to ask for money then the people giving the money should have a say on large issues like this.
I praise the almighty moderators of this forum!
