Multimedia Section

I know I've suggested this to a few guys on here, but can we possibly add a multimedia section where members can post pictures, videos, and sound clips?

I run across misc. videos on youtube.com that could make for some great conversation on this board, but don't really feel like posting it with everything else in the lounge to say the least...

We really don't have anywhere to currently post these unless it's related to a specific model of car...

John, we are working on it.....50 thousand request and 3 people.....get the idea.....its on the list for us to look into, you dont have a no answer so you will have to trust me. As of right now we have a things to do list out to mid Jan, so if its not added by then, ask about any new news on the subject.

I have to take responsibility for this one. John has spoken to me about this and I encouraged him to post about his ideas in hope that all the Admins would see it and be able to come to a determination or put it on the list as you mentioned.

My intention was to point it out to you and I failed to do that. So I have to apologize to the both of you as I did not do what I said I would do.

Just because I want to help, I went ahead and grabbed a few layouts from the other boards I frequently post on, this might help out a little with the organizational process with adding/changing new sections on the board..









On another note, I do like a few of the other sections you see above:

Automotive Careers (to help people find work)
Politics (because it makes for good threads and reading )
Other Car Forum/ Other Automotive News (this is where we can discuss NON w-body vehicles)

What do you guys think?

Hey John,

I really like the idea of the Multimedia section but I think we need to wait a bit and see what kind of bandwidth we are using right now. The site has been up for a couple of weeks now, and in another couple of weeks we can determine monthly bandwidth use, and if there is allot left, I don't see a problem with adding it, but if we are getting close to the monthly limit (without having to pay more) we may have to hold off until we get some sponsors.

Automotive careers....well in my opinion this is a W Body forum and we should focus on that. If your looking for a job, you would be better off checking Monster.com, as that is their focus.

Politics...I would love to have a forum for this as I love a good debate, however again we need to hold off just to see how the forum goes, as this will open the door to allot of hate and discontent if not managed properly.

Other cars section.....well I must refer you to the careers section comment. Our focus is the W Body and alything related to it, like the F body with its 3800 powered engine. A Ford Mustang just does not have anything in common with W Body, so if someone is looking for information on it, they should check out the mustang forum.

Now this is just my opinion, and I am not the end all be all, there are 2 others, so if you convince them, it will happen.

FYI.....A Multimedia section has been added to our Road Map of things to look into adding to the Forum.
