Hey guys. Selling another trans. Trying to fund a new motor for the '84 truck. The text is pretty much copy/pasted from the craigslist add. That's why it's so generic. Feel free to post questions right here.

Paypal preferred. $900 F/F or $930 G/S + shipping, but I'll build the crate for free.

    Located in Tucson. 85747

    Paste:
I am selling an "overhauled" or "refreshed" 4t65e-hd transmission. This is perfect for someone on a tight budget who doesn't want to take a chance on a used junkyard unit.

    Background:
This transmission was pulled from a car I bought to flip knowing the trans was broken. Because I bought the car private sale, I got to talk to the previous owner and get a full history. He stated that one day it lost reverse, then shortly thereafter (couple days) it lost forward as well.

Once disassembled, I immediately found the problem. It had a had part failure. What I saw matched perfectly with what the previous owner experienced. I have kept those failed parts, and would be happy to show them. Everything else looked great. Based on what I saw, I could tell it had been previously rebuilt not too long ago. That's why I decided to "overhaul" and not do a full rebuild.

    My overhaul includes:
Replacement of the failed components (I can show you those pieces)
    Complete dis-assembly of the unit
Complete dis-assembly and cleaning of the valve body
Complete dis-assembly and cleaning of the channel plate
Thorough inspection of every piece and assembly to insure it's within specification

    Replace EVERY seal and gasket
    New washer kit
    New molded 2nd piston
    New molded 3rd piston
    New large pan magnet
    Install shift improver kit
Tighten 2nd clutch pack (Improvement over stock)
Tighten 3rd clutch pack (Improvement over stock)
    Recondition the input piston

Plus some other minor tweaks I've learned doing these.

The only thing preventing me from calling it a full rebuild is, I reused the bushings, clutches, steels and electronics. I can tell, based on their condition, they were not that old and certainly not abused. If you want new solenoids, I'd be happy to toss them in for what they cost me.

I can ship anywhere there's a Fastenal. I shipped one to Minnesota for $150, and one to Las Vegas for under $100 using Fastenal freight. I can also deliver anywhere in Tucson for some gas money.

I will take cash, but would prefer a trade. Looking for:

'98-'00 5.7 drop out (engine, harness and computer) from Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado, Sierra... Plus cash my way. I would have to confirm what works with my tuning software.

    or

'00-up 5.3 or 6.0 drop out from just about any GM pickup or full size van... Plus cash your way.
