    Bump.

I'm like 99% sure I have the famous Ebay 4t65e (high performance) DVD floating around here somewhere too.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-DVD-VIDEO...dRrA0x&vxp=mtr

If you're genuinely interested, let me know. I'll make a serious effort to find it. I won't accept payment untill I do. $35 shipped.

What all does it go over? Just parts or an actual how to rebuild?

    From the Ebay listing:

DVD 2, High Performance version: This DVD Video Manual includes all of the above steps but the information is adapted and added for the use in a High Performance 4T65E, This video also goes through the step-by-step install process of a valve body shift kit, different chain options, how-to modify the hydraulic apply circuits, different horsepower ratings for different clutch packs, supply more oil to the support bushings, proper clutch pack preparation, how-to modify the drum apply area for a better grip, and has a lot of tips and tricks in order to build a 4T65E transmission to run cooler, shift faster/harder/firmer, reduce shift overlap, increase line pressure rise, get lower a Et for drag racing, and of course handle more torque and horsepower. This DVD is 3 hours long.

DVD 1, Stock Rebuild version: This DVD Video Manual is a Complete Step-By-Step Tear Down, Inspection and a STOCK REBUILD of any 1997 and up 4T65E GM Front wheel drive transmission. This DVD is 2 Hours and 35 minutes long. Not only does it tear down, inspect, and then rebuild a 4T65E but it will teach you how-to rebuild all of the following items: direct clutch, input drum, third gear clutch, input clutch, roller clutch, overdrive clutch, intermediate clutch, all the bands and servo assemblies, duel sprag assembly, all of the seals including how to use a lip seal tool that can be bought here on eBay or from a company like Snap On tools, how-to do a dry clutch pack test for the overdrive clutch drum while it's still out of the transmission (very helpful so if there's a damaged or missing seal or even if there's a crack in the piston you'll be able to find it before putting the transmission back together, saving you time and more importantly money), check ball placement is covered in both the crossover plate and the valve body, all the accumulator assembles, complete front pump rebuild, how-to check the clutch packs for clearance, total unit & finial drive clearances and it tells you what they should be set at, how to inspect all of the critical internal parts with just some emery paper a straight edge and a feeler gauge, and it even gives you ALL of the torque specs that you will need for the 4T65E Transmission.

Either of these DVD videos will make all of the ATSG manuals obsolete because to cover all of the different 4T65E’s that you would normally need several manuals that can cost you a big chunk of change, and still you will not get the visual aid that you have with the DVD. All in all this video with help anyone with an average amount of technical automotive skills to do a complete rebuild with great results while using basic hand tools. They are Region free DVDs and it is in a DVD+R format so they are playable on all quality standard DVD players in ANY country. You will not find this DVD anywhere else. As for picture quality of this DVD if 1 was absolutely horrible, a 5 is a standard VHS tape quality and a 10 was an ultra high quality DVD movie that you would rent from blockbuster, then I would give these an 8.5 which means that is has a very high clearly and you can see everything and just to show you, the image for this auction is a REAL screen shot. Finally, while editing, I was able to reduce and or cut out completely shadows in dark areas, and bright reflections off of shiny parts and can distort the images that other ebay sellers normally leave in, I did this because I feel it sometimes deprives the viewer from important information

    __________________________________________________ _______________

I have DVD #2. In my opinion... This does NOT make the ATSG manual obsolete. However, this DVD plus the ATSG manual will give you about 95% of what you need to know. I'd be willing to fill in the other 5% to whoever bought it.

Did I mention I have all the essential Kent Moore tools for this trans? #rentalprogram

Damit man i want to buy a cam but then you keep jingling this transmission stuff in my face and I already know my tranny is going to implode itself if I get a cam.. Decisions decisions..
Obviously every rebuild is slightly different Obviously and this is a pretty generic question but how much would you say it costs to do a basic rebuild that could handle around 350whp? Assuming you had a core and the tools?

It's been awhile since I built one, so I don't know how accurate my part prices are anymore. Easy enough to figure out though. Just put together a parts list and add it up.

$40 for the Pillar shipped to 91355? I can gift the pay pal so there is no fee....

Not trying to low ball, just thought I'd ask. My car was broken into a few months ago and my homemade version got stolen.

$200 Shipped - B&M 70266 Super Cooler standalone transmission fluid cooler w/ lines. This is a nearly drop in trans cooler for the 97-03 Grand Prix's with external cooler checkball. Will work with others as well, but critical for those transmissions with the TC checkball in the fitting. You only need to drill 3 - 9/32" holes for a super clean install. Kept my 150k mile trans cool in 115°+ heat.

Do you see cold temps where you are? Just wondering if this set-up made your trans be "too cold"? I bought the 70264 w/ the low temp bypass, as I get freezing temps in the winter months, but I still need everything else. Buddy at work is eyeing up my 70264. LOL

We might get below freezing for maybe an hour a couple times in January. Once the sun comes out, it warms right back up again though. I might have run under the recommended temperature 10% of the time, but I was willing to make that trade vs. running too hot 90% of the time. If I lived further east I might run the cooler in series, but it wasn't ever really a problem here. Our weather is brutal on transmissions. There are a ton of trans shops here in Tucson, and they are all busy all the time.

I'd be happy to sell the lines and brackets separately. I can re-use this cooler on the S10. It looks like the 70264 is the same height as my 70266. So it would mount using the same holes in the brackets. It would just change the location of the drilled holes in the core support, but you have to drill those anyway so no big deal there. The inlet/outlet sizes are different on the two coolers. You would need to get a 3/8" NPT x -6an straight fitting and a 3/8" NPT x -6an 90° fitting, but otherwise everything you need would be there.

    Edit:
Oops. The 70264 has barb / clamp ends for the hoses, not pipe thread.
