Fits '97 to '02. No core charge. Price does not include shipping. Ships from Tucson, AZ 85747.

Decided it was time to make use of my last core and rebuild kit I had sitting around. I built this one as a better than stock, but no hard parts unit. Good for a stock to mildly modified blower car. The techniques I use will make for a longer lasting, quicker shifting, and cooler running unit. Willing to entertain offers. Not hurting for the money, but I'd like to see a return on my investment sooner rather than later. I think if someone offered me one or two hundred over what I have into it, they could have it.

    Rebuild parts include:
    New frictions
    New steels
New seals (stretched/shrunk teflons, NOT scarf cut)
    New drive sprocket bearing
    New solenoids (4x)
    New manifold pressure switch
    New washers
    New Filter
    New Forward Apply Band
    New molded 2nd apply piston
    New molded 3rd apply piston
    New lube dam
All new bushings (not just the common ones)
    Trans-go shift kit
    Superior valve body kit
    Superior AFL valve kit
    Lube tube retainer
    Hardened 4th clutch shaft
Inspected bearings (replace any bad ones)
    Reconditioned input clutch piston (TEP)
Reconditioned reaction carrier w/ steel washers (TEP)
    Bonded separator plate
    Torlon check balls
    Input clutch upgrade (10pc.)

    Rebuild procedure includes:
Checked and adjusted final drive end play
Checked and adjusted transaxle end play
Complete disassembly and cleaning of valve body
Modified separator plate for better shift
Modified clutch stack for better shift
Inspected and tested internal wiring harness

    Torque converter:
I can include a used one. I have no history on it so, IMO it would only be good to cover the core charge of a new one. Or I can grab a PNH for an extra $225.

    Cooler fittings:
Are the flare type, but I can be swapped to push lock.

If you have a Fastenal near you, they will ship store to store for $150 pretty much anywhere in the country. I believe they will even band it to a pallet for you so you don't have to crate it. Had a dually truck axle and a few sets of offroad tires shipped to me this way.

    this transmission wouldn't work for him anyway, it's a 97-02, not 04.

    It would.

When I move back down to the lower 48, you can expect me at your door with a transmission, Brandon. Lol

Seems wasteful to me to build a trans and not put the hard parts in, diff is the only other difference between 4t65e and 4t65eHD

I don't disagree, BUT... It depends on what you're end goal is. For a guy running a tune, 3.4" pulley and headers, a 300m and 7/8" chain is unnecessary. A lot of the techniques used in a "built" transmission translate to a great "standard" build. A good build using stock parts will result in a quicker shifting, cooler running, longer lasting unit. It just wont handle the higher horsepower levels. Think about a taxi, or soccer mom's minivan. Not race cars by any means, but they live in some of the harshest conditions.

USPS delivered more parts today. Going in this afternoon. Shift kit will go in per the instructions (standard configuration). I can modify it for a different power level if trans is purchased before the final assembly
