Parting out my 97 Grand Prix or at least the parts I think people would like to have off the car that mean something to guys like us. This is a programmed PCM from a 1997 Grand Prix GT. It has the fans come on at 186 Degrees as well as the skip shifts from 3-1 and 4-2:
FEATURES:
- Speed limiter removed
- 3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts
- Transmission line pressure increased
- Shift points moved (5800-6000rpms)
- Fan turn on points altered:
- 186 degree turn on
- 2 minute fan on at key-off (this feature activates when engine coolant is 179 degrees or greater)
- MAF calibration adjusted for proper operation and year
- Fuel/spark adjustments:
- En-richens fuel delivery for critical problem areas
- Provides a consistent power gain across the entire power band
- Reduces spark retard (knock retard)
- Removes “40MPH WOT lag”
- Dynamometer testing has shown approximately 8-12HP in 60 degree temperatures on a development vehicle using 93 octane fuel.
Works fine and for the 1997 you do not need to do any case relearn just remove the module from your PCM to this one and install. This will come with the PCM and the modules as well since I will be transferring mine back to the stock PCM.
