Looking to sell the trans I built last fall:

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...t65e-Completed

Best I can figure, this is somewhere between a TEP HPS3 and HPS4 and is priced accordingly. Post any questions you have here, and I will try to respond as quickly as possible. Price includes torque converter and PayPal fee, not shipping/freight. We would have to work something out. I would be happy to crate it up for a buyer.

    Price = $2985
Without torque converter = subtract $150
    If paid as friends/family = subtract $85
    Local pickup = subtract $50

This is not a feeler thread, but I also do not NEED to sell. Personal happenings have led me to look for sources of extra funds. Selling this trans is not my only option, just the best one at this time.

Trans is located in Tucson, AZ 85747. Just off I-10

just FYI, when I bought my transmission from swiggles, the shipping from Boston, Mass to Kemmerer was like 180 dollars through Fastenall.

There is a Fastenal about 20 minutes from my house. Good to know.

    Thanks.

I probably should have put that in the original post.

    Thanks.

www.uship.com -typically matching or lower prices than Fastenal if you can have the item picked up at a business with dock/forklift/skidloader to load onto a semi, and the same at the destination -if it's not available at one or both ends check into the nearest terminals to origin and destination and offer to deliver to the terminal/destination to get the business-to-business rate, which can save a couple hundred $$.
I shipped an aluminum 5.3L (425# including pallet) from St Cloud, MN to Atlanta for $155 by dropping off at the terminal 3 miles from me, and the buyer having me ship to his buddies shop/business with a forklift in Atlanta.

The biggest factor with Fastenal is if you pay for insurance and it turns out what you are shipping isn't fully boxed/sealed, the insurance you bought is worthless.
Another plus for going with Uship is their logistic companies are selected based on their customer satisfaction ratings -if they don't have a high level of customer satisfaction you won't see that company on Uship.
One more plus over Fastenal -Uship is typically 1 week or less from coast to coast. Fastenal will take weeks.

I'm not sure how fussy they are. I do have an engine hoist. I could easily load a crated trans into the back of a semi trailer by myself. Or I could arrange for a friend to help load. I mean, it's only a transmission. Two guys should be able to hand load one.

    I would think...

    Sold.

I'd be happy to build another for someone else. FWIW, shipping from Tucson to somewhere in Minnesota was $195.
