    I know you've already replaced it but it still sounds exactly like a failed crank sensor. I'd only ever use a AC delco unit.

    Or what if the harmonic balancer which trips the sensor because the metal ring/wheel inside there is damaged, but thats kinda unlikely. Or the harness to the crank sensor is becoming faulty.
