What are the Pros n Cons of a Catless Downpipe?
Is it worth getting? i know many people would suggest headers but nobody around me will do headers so ill just do plog and Downpipe,
i could possibly find a guy that can pass my emissions like a lick n stick but was wondering the advantages. thanks in advance

Nothing really, other than a little more noise, slightly better MPG's...and a smidge more performance you probably won't notice compared to a catted one. If you can get away with it, run catless. If you can't pass a test without one, then just get a fake cat from Frozen Boost.

Good thing about getting rid of the cat?

No chance of it ever failing.

    ^ This.

Since your rocking a 98 GT (per-profile) you don't have the flow to worry about with supercharger mods, but it will still get rid of the u-bend and get better flow should you decide to top swap or do other mods.

Not as good as headers and cost almost as much. (Speed Daddy headers complete $225ish shipped)

High flow CATs are still known to set off CEL lights on some cars/year models. 98 shouldn't matter, but it could

Ah... need to update that then.

Being supercharged, the DP will remove the U-bend, help flow, remove some KR, give a little tone.

If you plan to mod tho, skip a DP and just get headers. Before you can do a pulley drop to pull more ponies you'd have to have headers anyways so you'll just be burning money. If you plan to stay stock and just want a little extra, get the DP.

Sheff, dont even give the option for a DP.

Just buy Speed Daddy Headers off ebay, $217 shipped to your front door.

If your doing a Plog and DP anyways, just go for headers. Honestly.

    Don't know until you scan.

With these cars getting older, I doubt it.

That's why we always say: headers. maximum flow gains for the same price.

I say you stick with the plog and downpipe. You will have a no hassle quick install. If you are only doing a 3.4 pulley you will be fine.

Could probably handle a 3.5 pulley better with some extra timing and run smoother.

Biggest thing is you want a smaller pulley for boost, but not so small you have to sacrifice timing to run it... and NO KR!
