I don't think you can do 3.3" with only headers.

    You're going about it wrong.

You need some kind of valvetrain mod to go past a 3.4, and honestly i wouldn't go past a 3.6 without at least 1.9 rockers and headers. AL103 plugs are far too cold, try 104's or if you actually take heed of my warning, and get a sane sized pulley, AL605's.

We haven't even mentioned tuning yet.

Hmm, so ya wanna go fast huh.

Well for starters that $2,000 bucks will gone after you buy a intercooler and zzp headers, so then your SOL.

What I would do is buy speed daddys headers off ebay, then fix them cheaply and have headers for under 250 bucks.

Delco wires, 10.3's or taylor wires are not needed nor are MSD coils or any of that garbage.

    103's or 104's

Modular pulley system with 3.4 FIRST, then you can slowly work your way down in size. And just so ya know a 2.6 is pointless, at that point the blower is spinning so fast its useless, do as far as like a 3.0 and more timing with a beast tune.

Aeroforce, boost gauge, and a Wideband, a WB is a MUST, you cant ever get to the place you want to be without one.

Id piece together a intercooler myself, buy the core, buy a heat exchanger and lines and fittings and port your own LIM.

Then buy HP tuners and tune the car yourself and learn how to, or make sure you got a guy that knows exactly what they are doing with tuning to make the car run right.

I know I'm going to have to do things in stages to get to we're I wanna be with my car I'm new to building this cars what would be the things to buy first with the money then I will save up more and do another stage I have some one who can tune it. What do you have to do to the eBay headers once you get them. Also what is a good downpipe to get I know the first thing I wanna do for sure is the exhaust and port and polish the intake and cyl headsso it can breath good.

the headers come with a downpipe.

You buy them, cut off the stock flex pipe and weld a ZZP 3in flex on them and then install on the car, the regular flex is not doubled walled and blows out within the first 10 miles for alot of people.

Porting the heads wont net much, but you can do it if you please, I would just get some rockers if you want a little more breathing room, but headers alone free up the exhaust a ton. Then port the blower.

so after i get the headers should i spend the rest of money on a wide band, boost gauge, aero force,hp tuner and get rollers, cam and port the blower that way i can go down to a lower pulley size.

    Ok
    WB $200
Boost gauge i feel is pointless if you have an aeroforce. $100
    Aeroforce $240
    HP tuners $500-600
    rollers $160
    Cam $300
So thats 1500 not counting another $250 in gaskets alone for install after you pull the heads and intake to port them. if your going to drop 2k now and want to spend more later, just get a turbo kit.

we tell this to everyone. first set a budget and a realistic goal for your car. on your quest for what you thought you wanted, a 2.6 you would prob have destroyed your trany well before then and had even more unexpected costs. so planning is a must if you are going this big.

my Z is my daily driver so im trying to build something fast but reliable. when i get inside the 13's i'll start planning for the trany. im sticking with a 3.8" on my topswap and have my heads ported, 1.8's RR, 105# sprigns, SD headers, full 2.5" exhaust, north star, ported m90, and i have years of tuning experience. its no fun to any of us to see someone throw the wrong parts at a car and it have KR or grenade.

My two suggestions are: (first find someone who can tune in your area or get a tuner and learn on your stock car how to tune. cause things only get harder and more risky as you and mods.)
    1) save up and go turbo
    2) if your goal and budgets are met with the M90 then start getting the flow mods. Headers, intake if you dont have one yet, port your parts heads, LIM, blower, Pulley drop (3.6 and a good tune) then cam springs and another pulley drop and tune... prob need different injectors soon here too, then IC and another pulley drop and tune, by this point you should have enough experience to know what your next steps will be and know what direction to take it all.
