I'm having a problem with my temperature gauge saying it's hotter than what it is. My gauge goes clear up to 210 but I hooked up a computer to it and it said it was only 190. I have a 180 degree thermostat in it so I figured it was about right. What do I need to do to fix that? Do I need a new gauge or just a censer? I think it has two censers for the water temp. I know there is one under the thermostat housing but where is the other one? Got any ideas?

theres only one sensor but it sends two signals as i'm led to believe.

replace the one under the t-stat and you should be good.

Well if you wanna get technical these cars NEED water 'censors' (google coolant filter) because of the wonderful dexcool + air syndrome these cars are famous for.

Yup one sensor 2 signals, pretty much all new vehicles have that. Lt1 was the last one I know of with 2 coolant temp sensors.
