No emission testing in my state...And I wanted it fixed right, after all I went thru, I just wanted it done and over with. Not sure about the future, but I was an Uber driver prior to covid19, and if the tuner didn't work, i saw it as just delaying the inevitable and spending more money....Drunk uber riders will do/say/lie about anything to get a free ride...And all someone had to do was take a picture of the SES light and get me deactivated....claiming my car was unsafe....Uber never has the drivers back...So yes, it might have worked, but just not worth it.
And as wstefan20 (hi neighbor) mentioned, if it was a fuel trim issue and/or had an unknown vacuum leak (for example)...it just would have been more money wasted.
