you also need to either cut off the EGR tube from the LIM or you need to bore out the L26 hole so that it fits. the EGR tubes are different sizes from L26 to L36.

hmmm interesting. wonder how the dealers rectify this... as reptile says the LIM p/n is the same between either L26 or L36

i wonder if the L36 UIM has been superceeded by the L26 UIM, and if you replace one, you have to replace both from the dealer?

I don't see that happening. The throttle bodies won't line up, and you would have to change over a hell of a lot of stuff to retro fit.

Also, I just checked the numbers for the EGR tube, and the part numbers ARE the same from certain 95 engines all the way to current.

Hey reptile im looking into getting the HVTB from ZZP so try and cut down on the classic cold start intake noise a bit. But by looking at it and according to them its just ported and polished i think.... not real sure though. But i found your thread and saw your website so what do you think you could do with a factory TB as far as this goes? And how much would something like that cost? Thanks!

If you havent seen me talking about brians work by now aparently you dont come to gpf enough....so do us all a favor and yourself one....

stop by more often...and choose brian for all of your polishing/porting needs...

he did an excellent job on my stuff...for the best price around...

heh...if brian didnt do such a good job and make me so damn happy it almost seems like i should be getting paid for this...lol....but hey When people do good work i want it to be known...so they an have the same satisfaction as i did when paying for similar work

Just wanted to note that we now have in house capability to sand blast parts. If you just need anything to look like new again, we can handle it. We are currently using garnett for blast media which will put a slightly textured finish on steel and aluminum making what looks like a freshly cast piece.
