Replaced the harmonic balancer on my GXP 2 weeks ago. To do so, I had to drop the cradle on the passenger side about 5-6 inches and loosed the bolts on the drivers side. While doing so I did the hub bearing and out TRE on the Passenger side. It all went fine. I took it to be aligned and was told the "Cradle was off and to fix the alignment they needed to grind slots into the knuckles to fix the problem". I told them no and I would rather loosen the cradle and use a prybar to push the cradle over the millimeter it needs. They told me the car would pull to the right slightly and it does. The alignment sheet they gave me shows it is not quite in spec, but close.

Is there anything I am missing before heading down this path? Has anyone had this happen or been told the same story?

theres a tool you use to line up the frame to its mounting area, its a square tapered metal stick. it goes through the frame into the body.

im sure a fat screw driver would double for the tool.
