So i read in a couple of kuntzies threads about his modded camry coilovers and that he had to make custom mounts and modify the the bottoms to work with the grand prix. I am interested to see if anyone has some information on this and can shed some light on the topic.
    Thanks,
    Ace

I saw how he made the mounts im more interested in the bottom half and how he made the bearings work. I've never actually had a set of coilovers in my hands and I was possibly thinking of modding some 06 camrys or building them like 4th gen with a slip set up. I understand that a bit better. But I'm gonna research both options thoroughly. Thanks for some info bio. I just know I saw him make his top mounts out of a chunk of metal

the bottom mount you would thread off the lower portion, cut off the existing bracket, and weld on a new bracket you would create from measuring the stock struts. then paint and rethread back on. the bottom is easy.

the top in the rear you'd use stock rear mounts with a spring perch on top. the top in the front you would reuse the camber plate, but disassemble it and make a new upper half of the plate that would match the dimensions of the stock upper mount.

    it's all relatively easy.

hes rigt, you just need to make the ears for the bottom, you need to make your own uppers or modify stock upper mounts to make them work.
