Okay, I just recently changed my front wheel hubs and tie rods. I had the wheels aligned and balanced after the swap. They said the alignment was still in good shape but I need to do a camber kit soon. Meanwhile, while I drive, usually above 55mph, the car shakes. It does not shake while braking so I know its not the rotors.
I drive a 99 GTP with 162,522 miles. The struts are 19 months old and the axles are 17 months old. my Good year assurance tires only have 2200 miles on them and the balance is good. I'm assuming the bushings are worn out being that they are original. I want to get a kit to replace them but I can't find a kit.
Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you guys!

if you got a warranty with the alignment have them test drive and check the alignment again.

if you have aftermarket wheels and the hub bore is not the same that can cause a vibration as well.

Does the vibration go away when you let off the gas/coast? Could be an axle even if they aren't that old. I had an Autozone one die in about 12 months before I went to a Napa Gold axle.

Sorry for the delay guys, been out of town. I got the alignment checked, its still in the green. I live in south Washington... no snow... I had the wheel balance checked again and they passed. Curious, what bushings would cause looseness in the front end? I know that some of the bushings need replacing, but which ones would you think could cause this?
The "clunking" sound that comes from the steering could be the steering gear, after all the car is 15 years old now... is there any way to tighten it? if not, whats the difficulty to replace it?

lower control arms will clunk when bad, strut mounts, sway bar bushings/end links. sub frame bushings. all easy stuff to replace, all but the strut mounts.

pop the hood start the car, stand next to the door and rock the wheel left and right, watch the center bolt of the top of the strut, if its moving a lot back and fourth those mounts are shot.
