What is the torque for the two bottom shock to knuckle bolts and the two top shock to body bolts?
96 Grand Prix SE 2 Door.
    Thanks.

    Tight.

I'm sure the ones on the knuckle are nearly 100ft lbs and top ones are 30-40 but just blap em with a gun or get them really snug.

I've never torqued one of those bolts ever.

Yea, I put the shocks on a few days back. Sounds like the left rear is rattling/making noise. I am guessing I did not get it tight enough, or I hope that is the problem. I have changed out the shocks on three different grand prix's a 95 and now this is the second 96 I have changed. Never had a problem with any before, but I can't help but think maybe I did not get it tight enough. Thought it might be good to know what they are suppose to be tightened to. Could probably strip out those top ones if I torque on them to much.

Double check the sway bar links in the rear if they are bolted to the side of the struts like on 97+ cars.

Yes I will check it out. If I recall they are mounted to the lower strut mount/bolts go through a clamp that holds the stabilizer/sway bar.
