    Doing the rear upgrade to GXP brakes not sure if the rotors are right they look weird anyone got a pic of a 2005 GXP rotor ? I can't post pics of what I got right now

    The 05 GXP rotos look like rotors. Why do you think yours look wierd?

    very narrow where the pad contacts it and the hat has a recessed area around it

    solid rotors in the rear? like no fins in the middle? yup they look thin.

    left is a front, right is a rear, its a stock rear but its also solid. maybe a 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch thick or so.

    Like scottie said, it sounds like they're a solid rotor instead of finned. Also, they make flat or tapered hats. Either way will be just fine, usually its personal preference on what's used.

    No they are finned scotty you won't have a pic of the front side would ya? looking at the one to the right in the back they may be right

    my fronts are f bodys. (with the fins) the rears are stock solid rotors.

    got this pic of the out sides.

    damn scotty if those rears were finned it would look like mine, I don't get it the originals oems on my 97 look like the have more surface area, so how are the gxp's better except for the fins of course and thanks

    im not 100% sure but i think they are larger in diameter. the fins also help disburse heat faster.

    Pad area is largely unimportant with disc brakes, its about leverage and cooling. Keep in mind drums have way more pad area. Look at 88-96 gps brakes compared to 97+. 97+ have smaller pads

    If I was awake..I wouldn't have GXP pics.. but I have plenty of other pics readily available. Just ask, I likely have a picture of it
