ok so my brakes once they warm up will squeal until 30 MPH. once i go past that speed it goes away (or just goes to a higher pitch that i cant hear and possibly the reason why dogs hate my car lol)

    Question is:

what have you guys dont to combat the squeal from our cars? different pads rotors? no squeal lube?

You can try the lube but you should check that nothing is contacting each other, check the clips that hold the pads on that they are clearing the rotor and check the dust shield behind the rotor too cuz it could just be bent in a little and making contact with the rotor

That would definitely be a good time to check it all and you got a GXP right?

Alot of times older drilled rotor will build up rust in the holes and compact brake dust and that will cause noise.

Mainly it comes down to the pads for noise.

I prefer solid rotors myself, you can buy some buick allure (V8 car) rotors that are the same size as stock gxp's and they are solid if you wanted another option.

thats probably not a bad idea really probably cheaper to go solids. right?

Maybe, I guess it depends on what place you went too and what prices are online for slotted rotors.

I know I had double checked all the sizes for the rotors awhile back, but it's a quick thing you can check if you wanted too. They are like 12.7 rotors IIRC.
