I recently put on my summer wheel set up and my driver side rear rubs when I hit bumps. It is loud and obvious that it rubs when this happens. Weird thing is its only the one wheel doing this. My tire got chewed up pretty bad. Am lowered on ssc/fe3. Is there any quick way to fix this or will I need to roll the fenders? Would rather not roll them.

Easy/cheap route would be to roll your fenders.

if only one is rubbing versus the other it sounds like your alignment isn't even on both sides.

Did you get an alignment when you put the springs on? If its not the alignment, you might have bent suspension components.

so I guess i should first start with a wheel alignment before rolling fenders?..note only the one wheel rubs when bumps are hit

Since you lowered your car and didn't get an alignment anyways...you need one.

And if the alignment isn't the problem, they should tell you what needs fixed before they can do a proper alignment and send you on your way. Most times they won't charge at that point because they know you'll be back for the alignment after you get the problem resolved.

Okay guys i officially don't know what to do. been doing some phoneing around. I have been telling shops my issue and they are all giving me different answers. Some shops are telling me they have no idea why one wheel would rub, so I ask if it could be wheel alignment issues and they say no.

Some shops tell me that something could be wrong with the suspension which I don't wanna replace any more s**t on this car. Some shops say they won't touch it because its lowered. etc...car only has 70 000 miles on it. suspension feels fine no bouncing. These shops don't seem to know what they are talking about

help! my tire is getting destroyed every day!

    ROLL YOUR FENDERS!

and get your alignment checked. you need an alignment after lowering a car. i guarantee your tow is all out of whack and you're gonna burn up your tires.

Get a blow dryer out there and heat up your fenderwell and take a baseball bat to the inside of it to roll your fender.

Got fed up with it and took a mallet and ower to it. I think it turned out well messed up the paint a bit on the inside but can't notice it. Hopefully this fixes the problem will see tomorrow on the drive to work.

Also the reason I never got an alignment was because after lowering it rode the same tracked well and no un even tire wear. Been driving like that for 8 months no issues till now with switching wheels.

Lmao yup it should be a simple fix once you roll the fenders and get a alignment! Shouldn't matter if your lowered or not most shops can still align it.
